That's the question SketchUp asked back in 2000. Architectural engineer Brad Schell and software developer Joe Esch set out to build professional 3D design software that is both powerful and approachable, and the first SketchUp was released from Boulder, Colorado.
SketchUp gave designers an invaluable resource: time. A model that once took 30 minutes to mock up could be sketched in 30 seconds, opening room for exploration, creativity and play.
